This is a set of whalebone handled knives and forks with a scrimshaw monogram on the handles. Believed to be from the Alaskan collection but may be an artifact from the New England collection.

This is the scrimshaw handle of the carving knife that goes with the fork - from the Alaskan collection.

Soapstone carvings and tile coasters from the Alaskan collection. Left is an eskimo (perhaps a fisherman), but the wood rod that he would be holding is missing. Green soapstone carving appears to be a seal or a bear.
