St. Patrick's Day
Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day ~ may these blessings light your way . . .
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Leprechauns and Luck
May good luck be with you
Wherever you go,
And your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow . . .
'Neath the "Stone Passage"
look carefully;
Is that an illusive
leprechaun you see? . . .
An "Irish Treasure"
you'll surely find;
If you catch a leprechaun,
and are so inclined . . .
Shhhh, listen closely,
and you will hear ~
"A Lucky Tune"
and tap, tap, tap;
if the wee fairy shoe cobbler
is hiding there . . .

"A Tad Bit of Green"
must be worn on this day,
For we all share the
Irish spirit to celebrate . . .
"A Lucky Surprise"
awaits the one,
who befriends
the wee leprechaun . . .
"The Wee Folk"
scamper about hither and yon;
Look away for just a second,
and they will be gone . . .

"Luck O'The Irish"
be with you each day;
may rainbows and
gold light your way!

May your days be many and your troubles be few,
May all God’s blessings descend upon you,
May peace be within you,
May your heart be strong,
May you find what you’re seeking wherever you roam.

Family Heritage and Traditions
Along the "Appalachian Trail"
is where you'll learn;
Many an Irish heart to be,
does yearn . . .
Those ever beaming
"Girls in Green"
share their love
of Irish things,
like emeralds and
Claddagh rings. . .
A "Blue Eyed Boy"
set to impress;
A beautiful, red-haired
Irish miss . . .
From many
"Autumn Beauties"
he must choose,
the perfect one,
to be married to . . .
"Old St. Mary's" an historic place,
built with Irish skill and embrace,
T'was a church and became shelter, too;
when the Civil War raged and made us blue;
1858 was the date it was built;
the American Red Cross now part of its golden gilt . . .

"St. Raphaels" ~
founded in 1849,
when Irish and Germans
both combined,
a love for God and building
steeples oh so tall,
done in a classic
Gothic style . . .
"Spring in Appalachia"
the green dawn anew;
Birds, blossoms, and life,
under a sky of blue . . .
"A Precious Moment with Mother"
is oh so sweet;
shared in our home,
makes our day complete. . .
"Quilting with My Girls"
a family tradition;
Squares of green star
points and crosses,
our Irish edition . . .
Time to "Walk On"
to the next Irish obsession;
Horses and dogs,
the logical progression . . .

May you have the hindsight to know where you’ve been
The foresight to know where you’re going
And the insight to know when you’re going too far.
Horses, Dogs, and Nature of an Irish Heart
“Sell the cow, buy the sheep, but never be without the horse.”
~ Irish Proverb
"Spirit of the Valley"
stirs my soul;
A horse to ride
makes me whole . . .
A fiery coat of deep red,
shimmers like gold;
my "Irish Setter"
is a magnificent sight
to behold . . .
"Spirits" they are;
and spirits they be;
Oh horse, oh horse!
May I fly away with thee? . . .
Don't you love my pal and
"Horse Tail" bouquet? ~
Hacking down the trail
makes my day . . .
"Afloat on a Pond"
is the favorite way,
for an Irish frog
to spend his day . . .
"The Matriarch"
watches over all;
A queen and guardian
of majesty, free from
her stall . . .
"Blue Vase" with flowers
shows up well,
on a background the color
of the Emerald Isle . . .
"Natural Bridge"
so tall and strong;
Reminds me of
the craggy coast of
Ireland . . .
Delicate and abstract are
"Flowers on Green" ~
the perfection of which
was certainly unforeseen . . .
My "Irish Terrier"
abounds with personality,
known to be a daredevil
with great agility . . .
"Summer at Mabry Mill"
is a cooler scene;
Soothing my weary soul,
with a touch of sage,
shamrock, and teal green.

May joy and peace surround you,
Contentment latch your door,
And happiness be with you now,
And bless you evermore.
